Membership is vital to the sustainability of this center and community. We depend on member support to provide these life transforming teachings to all who seek them. Members nurture our welcoming and peaceful refuge in the heart of the city.

Members receive:
* Access to student-teacher meetings.
* Invitations to free special events.
* Priority pre-registration for popular events.
* Staring in July, a 20% discount on all registrations (until then, our sliding scale is still in place).

Memberships start at $10/month. We ask that members give as generously as they can and appreciate whatever you can give.

Student-Teacher Meetings
Membership is an expression of mutual support whereby we are all given the chance to support and nurture the spiritual community that supports and nurtures each of us. One offering of mutual support for members is greater access to teachers for individual meetings on practice issues. While all students at NYI have opportunities to engage with teachers during classes and other activities, members are given first access to teachers for individual meetings. These meetings are offered on a dana or donation basis. The suggested dana is $50 for a 30 minute meeting but the offering to the teacher is made voluntarily and no one is turned away for lack of funds.
