Who We Are

New York Insight is an almost entirely volunteer-run organization. To help deliver our programs, we rely heavily on a small but committed group of people, some of whom are listed here.

Executive Director
Joseph Schmidt
Joseph is a co-founder of New York Insight. He has studied and practiced meditation in a variety of traditions since the late 1960s. Joseph has many years of corporate experience in the banking industry, is trained as a psychotherapist, and traveled and taught school for several years in India.
