Executive Director
Joseph Schmidt
Joseph is a co-founder of New York Insight. He has studied and practiced meditation in a variety of traditions since the late 1960s. Joseph has many years of corporate experience in the banking industry, is trained as a psychotherapist, and traveled and taught school for several years in India.
Administrative Director
Roberta Koepfer
Roberta Koepfer is the administrative director of New York Insight. She has studied Buddhism and practiced meditation for four decades. A retired college professor and advisor, she is now a celebrant, interfaith minister and volunteer chaplain at a women’s prison. Poetry, comparative religion and languages, orchid culture, and the companionship of family and friends, all sweeten her life’s path.
