Now Online: Finding Peace in the Storm – Facing Anxiety and Uncertainty with Mindfulness and Compassion
with Paul Epstein
Sunday, May 17th, 2020 | 1:00pm – 3:30pm, ET
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” – Carl Jung
In this workshop, we’ll discuss four practical strategies to face and manage anxiety, and learn nine ways to deal effectively with uncertainty. We’ll explore choosing to welcome and embrace our difficulties with a compassionate heart and unconditional presence and, as Rumi suggests in the Guest House, “Be grateful for whatever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
We’ll integrate dharma teachings, guided meditation practices and learn mind-body skills that cultivate resilience and support finding calm within the COVID-19 global crisis. Ultimately, this will support us to not only move through these dark and challenging times of change, but to learn and awaken from them. This perspective will deepen our courage, wisdom, and compassion, and strengthen a healing connection within ourselves and with each other.
The program will include a presentation, guided meditation practices, and time for discussion.
