Online: Well-Being is a Skill
with Dr. Richard Davidson
Thursday, May 20th 2021 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm ET
Join renowned author, psychologist and neuroscientist Richard Davidson for an online benefit event for New York Insight. Together we will discuss the interaction between dharma and scientific evidence that suggests we can change our brains by transforming our minds and cultivate habits of mind that will improve our well-being and the world.
We’ll consider the dharmic qualities of happiness, resilience, compassion and emotional balance. The talk will provide an overview of neuroscientifically validated constituents of well-being and will illustrate how each of these is rooted in specific brain circuits that exhibit plasticity and thus can be modified through training and practice.
These practices can be applied in a wide range of contexts and have the potential to positively impact social change.
