CANCELLED: Remembering the Already Awakened State – Waking Down to the Wisdom of Our Bodies
with Deborah Eden Tull
Friday, April 22nd, 2022 | 6:00pm – 7:30pm ET
While the mind of separation is loud and lives in shallow waters, whole mind is quiet and lives in deep waters. It hears the heart beating . . . the waves on the shore… the rhythmic experience of embodiment.
It is through embodied presence, rather than mental effort or philosophizing, that we remember the already awakened state. Our bodies know the way home. Awareness is the key that allows us to recognize this, beyond habits of hierarchical perception. In this experiential teaching, we will explore the subtle body as guide to both inner-connection and interconnection, both on and off the cushion.
How can we, through subtle body awareness, remember the already awakened state, both in solitude and in the dynamism of relationship? In a fast-paced and complex world, how do we nurture the relational intelligence that is quietly waiting within each and every one of us? In response to the state of our world, how do we allow our longing for freedom of the heart to over-ride habits entrenched in the myth of separation? Please bring beginner’s mind and curiosity to this exploration, which will include meditation, a dharma talk, relational mindfulness breakout rooms, and Q&A.
Deborah Eden Tull will also be leading a daylong program on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 called Love, Courage, Collective Awakening: Embodying the Nine Principles of Relational Mindfulness Click here for more information.
