Online: Mindful Eating in 2024 – Changing Habits for Self-Care

At this time of year, many of us struggle with our eating and consuming habits, perhaps indulging at holiday time, then judging ourselves at the New Year and resolving to do better – even though we know that such resolutions don’t work.
In this six-session course, you will learn the practices of Mindfulness-Based Habit Change, pioneered by psychiatrist, addiction expert, and longtime meditation practitioner Dr. Judson Brewer. This proven method combines combine the tools of mindfulness practice and behavioral science to fundamentally change how we relate to our eating and other consuming behaviors. It is an innovative and compassionate approach that builds a balanced relationship to these everyday activities.
Laurence Magro and Nancy Logue are psychotherapists and certified mindfulness educators. Through individual and group exercises, guided meditations and contemplations, dialogue and inquiry, as well as mindful movement practices, they will help you learn to:
* Apply an evidence-based model of sustainable habit change·
* Learn how habit loops arise and can be modified
* Practice a variety of mind/body tools to address unhelpful habits and ride out cravings
* Cultivate positive habits of mind and body
