New York Insight Meditation Center is seeking a highly motivated and strongly organized person for the position of Program Coordinator/Registrar.
Program Coordinator/Registrar (20-25 Hours/week)
The Program Coordinator/Registrar is the primary program coordinator for our teachers, and supports the Programming Committee and Guiding Teacher. Your position will be central to fostering strong relationships with our teachers, as you will be their go-to contact for any questions and will coordinate all aspects of program and event logistics. This role not only involves meticulous planning and coordination but also offers the chance to be directly involved in the educational impact of our programs.
The Program Coordinator/Registrar will have primary responsibility for the execution of NYIMC programs and operations, from initial program scheduling through to event management (coordinating with Community Steward for Volunteer needs) and post-event communications.
We are delighted to present a unique part-time opportunity at NYIMC, where flexibility meets meaningful work and competitive pay. This position offers 20-25 hours per week, with a pay range of $25-31 per hour, depending on prior experience and expertise.
The schedule includes flexible hours with some evening and weekend commitments to support our event management needs. As a hybrid role, it combines the convenience of working remotely, with the vibrant energy of in-person engagements at our midtown center in Manhattan.
The ideal candidate qualifications:

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with shared Leadership Team
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word/Excel.
•Familiarity and willingness to engage with databases / program management tools as directed by center
•Ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds with sensitivity.
•Understands and commits to the vision and mission of our center
