In-Person: Awake in Urban Nature – Contemplating Art and Nature

with Maho Kawachi

Saturday, April 5th, 2025 | 10:00am to 1:00pm

Location: Noguchi Museum and Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, NY

Join us as we meet at the Noguchi Museum and begin our morning with a short visit to nearby Socrates Sculpture Park, a vibrant waterfront exhibition space and public park—where we’ll engage in walking and sitting meditation together, surrounded by large-scale public art and nature.

Afterward, we’ll return to the Noguchi Museum, immersing ourselves in the indoor galleries and outdoor garden devoted to the work of this renowned sculptor and designer. In these serene spaces, we will explore the relationship between art and nature through Isamu Noguchi’s unique and harmonious balance of aesthetics and functionality.

Please note: Registration fee does not include admission to the Noguchi Museum ($16–general admission, $6–seniors/students). This event is limited to 25 participants.
