CANCELLED: Love, Courage, Collective Awakening – Embodying the Nine Principles of Relational Mindfulness
with Deborah Eden Tull
Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 | 10:00am – 3:00pm ET
Amidst the global crises we face, there is an invitation to remember, embody, and celebrate the relational intelligence that is who we actually are. Interconnection is our natural state… and we remember this through less rather than more mental effort.
At this moment in history, there is a significant tear in the fabric of human relationship, and we all long for deeper connection and understanding. This retreat teaches the dharma of relational intelligence, which is the ability to see ourselves and one another clearly with the heart, beyond the mind of separation. While the heart is a profoundly intelligent organ, this work points to the heart as the core of our being, the complete integration of body-mind that meditation practice organically cultivates.
Relational mindfulness offers 9 principles for using every interaction and every relationship to deepen our capacity for shared presence and inter-being, finding freedom through how we relate.
The principles are: Intention, The Sacred Pause, Deep Listening, Mindful Inquiry & Clear Seeing, Transparency, Not Taking Personally, Taking Responsibility, and Compassionate Action.
This retreat draws from Eden’s book, Relational Mindfulness: A Handbook for Deepening Our Connection with Ourselves, Each Other, and The Planet (Wisdom Publications 2018) as well as her forthcoming book Luminous Darkness: An Engaged Buddhist Approach to Embracing the Unknown (Shambhala 2022).
ALL are welcome…seasoned meditators and those who are newer to practice… those who are in relationship and those who are not…, introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between. We all live every day of our lives in relationship to the web of life. These teachings meet us wherever we are and invite us to go deeper, to be freer, and to empower our capacity for love and relational intelligence.
Deborah Eden Tull will also be leading an evening program on Friday, April 22nd, 2022 called Remembering the Already Awakened State: Waking Down to the Wisdom of Our Bodies” Click here for more information.
