Online: Meeting Grief and Loss with Wisdom and Kindness

with Kimberly Brown

Thursday, October 20th, 2022 | 7:00pm – 8:30pm ET

In her new book Navigating Grief and Loss: 25 Buddhist Practices to Keep your Heart Open to Yourself and Others, meditation teacher Kimberly Brown weaves together poignant personal stories of loss with traditional mindfulness and metta practices. Her approach to the changes in life—the death of a parent, getting fired from your job, or an unexpected divorce—empowers you to engage with and befriend your sadness, pain, and mourning, and discover the true openness and peace available within us all, no matter what the circumstances.

In this evening talk, Kimberly will lead brief mediations and explore aspects of her book to help anyone suffering with loss—of any kind—access and benefit from their own beautiful qualities of love, compassion, and wisdom.

This program is appropriate for and open to anyone who is experiencing mourning and grief, and anyone who knows someone struggling to deal with loss and death. No experience with meditation or Buddhism is necessary and all are welcome.
