with Scott Tusa
Mondays, July 27th – August 17th, 2020 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm ET
“We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.” – Thich Nhat Hahn
In this four-part online class series we will explore the essence of the Buddha’s teachings on interdependence as found in the Heart Sutra.
The Heart Sutra is one of the most frequently used and recited texts in the Buddhist tradition, and presents us with a radical approach for meeting our everyday challenges.
Through a combination of experiential learning and meditation, the series will explore the intersections of core Buddhist principles and our everyday lives, where integrative practices meet our own inner and collective potentials for awakening.
Along with weekly teachings and discussions, each class will include readings and practice recommendations to support participants in both their understanding and personal paths.
In this class series, you will have the opportunity to:
• Learn more about the Buddhist philosophical and meditative practices on interdependence and emptiness
• Explore why these foundational Buddhist teachings matter and how they can bring deep purpose and meaning to our modern lives
• Engage new and traditional ways of reflecting on and navigating our personal and collective realities
• Open to a more embodied and joyful approach to working with your emotions and personal relationships
