What can we take refuge in during times of crisis and upheaval? How can Dharma wisdom teachings and practices of mindfulness and compassion support us during these times?

Meditation teacher Mark Coleman will explore key Dharma teachings and practices that help us find clarity, heartfulness and balance in the midst of life.

Please note: We are temporarily unable to provide registration confirmation emails. However the link to access the program will be emailed to you 2 days prior to the event and again 1 hour before the start. Registration includes access to the event recording, which will be made available to you ten days after the event.

Registration Fees include Teacher Support

New York Insight Meditation Center has streamlined the registration fee levels. Members of our Circle of Friends are eligible to receive 20% off of the Sustaining Rate via a code provided in the email confirming membership, which you can enter after clicking the Sustaining Level registration.

Mark Coleman

Mark Coleman has practiced Buddhist meditation since 1984. He is on the Spirit Rock Teachers Council and has been teaching Insight Meditation retreats since 1997. Mark is a psychotherapist, life coach, and mindfulness consultant to corporations. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast and passionate about combining the forces of meditation, silence, and nature. Mark is the author of From Suffering to Peace: The True Promise of Mindfulness, Make Peace with Your Mind: How Mindfulness and Compassion Can Help Free You from the Inner Critic, and Awake in the Wild: Mindfulness in Nature as a Path of Self-Discovery. He is an unabashed nature lover and through his organization Awake in the Wild, Mark likes nothing more than sharing his passion for integrating meditation and nature. He has led wilderness meditation retreats from Alaska to Peru, taking people on inner and outdoor adventures. Mark lives in Marin County, California and enjoys spending his free time hiking, biking and kayaking.
