In-Person: Sacred Earth Sangha Governors Island Gathering
with Guillaume Caron, NYI Practice Leader
Saturday, October 7th, 2023 | 12:30pm to 4:00pm
Location: Governors Island Ferry Landing – grassy plaza
Join us for an afternoon of practice, exploration, connecting, and sharing on the splendid grounds of Governors Island. Along with a planned tour of the Teaching Farm, Compost Learning Center, and Bee Sanctuary, NYI Practice Leader, Guillaume Caron, will guide us in sitting and walking meditation, sharing, and a special land acknowledgment honoring Indigenous People’s Day.
The meetup location will be adjacent to the Governors Island ferry landing, in the grassy plaza, in front of the public bathrooms. We will meet at 12:15 pm, the arrival time of the noon ferry from Manhattan. Further information and ferry schedule can be found HERE.
This gathering will be held rain or shine.
The NYI Sacred Earth Sangha is a community formed around deep practice and conscious engagement of the challenges of the climate/ecological crisis and related social justice issues.
