Don’t miss the final gathering in our Summer Sangha Sunday series!

It’s the last chance to connect with your NYIMC community in parks across the boroughs this summer! We will meditate, meet, and then celebrate with an optional BYO Picnic.

This Brooklyn gathering is the final outdoor, community event to celebrate the diversity of NYIMC’s sangha throughout New York City. Join us at the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park to meditate outside and to meet your NYIMC sangha across from the New York City skyline. Feel free to come a little early and enjoy the views.

New York Insight teacher David Grogan, from the Brooklyn Sangha and our Aging Sangha, along with the Friends Leadership Council, will offer a morning meditating together, engaging in community connection and simply spending time in our city’s beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Beginning at 10:00 AM, we will meditate together in nature, then move into interactive activities to engage with new and old sangha friends. The event will end at 12:00 PM, when you’re welcome to join our BYO Picnic. Feel free to bring your own meal, or something refreshing to share!

We encourage you to bring a blanket, chair, or whatever you may need to support your practice in an outdoor setting.
All are welcome to join this event, whether you’re a longtime community member and practitioner or brand new to meditation and New York Insight. We are looking forward to seeing you at our final gathering in the park this season.

We encourage you to bring a blanket, pillow, towel or whatever you may need to support your practice in an outdoor setting.***Note that chairs are not allowed in Brooklyn Bridge Park, but park benches are in close proximity to the meeting area.***

Location Details: The Bridge View Lawn is located at Pier 1, near the main entrance to the park, which can be reached by subway, bus or Citibike. Pier 1 is adjacent to the Fulton Ferry Landing.
