Online: The Eightfold Path
with Elaine Retholtz
Mondays, October 24th – December 12th, 2022 | 9:30am – 11:30am ET
In the third Noble Truth, the Buddha makes the remarkable statement that it is possible to experience the cessation of Dukkha.
In the Fourth Noble Truth, the Buddha describes the Noble Eightfold Path as the way of practice leading to the cessation of Dukkha. This is not some belief system to take on, nor a philosophy to be debated. Rather it is a very accessible (if sometimes challenging) guide for living and practicing in the world.
Come join us as we investigate and practice cultivatiing Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration.
As always, each class will include practice, instruction and talks, as well as group dialogue and inquiry. There will be ongoing practice assignments each week.
